The Taney Autumn Clean was a great success on Saturday. We collected more than 30 bags of cuttings and litter. These bags were supplied by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and they are due to be collected from Taney Field this week. We will also be alerting the Council to some material that has been dumped in the lane to the rear of Taney Avenue.

The Council also supplied a substantial number of daffodil bulbs and these have been planted in various locations around Taney. We trust that these will provide a burst of colour in the new year.
The success of the clean-up was due to the planning that was done by Jamie Tratalos of Taney Crescent over the last few weeks, and to the great efforts put in by the residents who turned up on the day. We would like to thank Jamie and all of you who worked so hard on Saturday (and some of you who came back for more on Sunday).
Taney Area Residents’ Association will continue to support events and initiatives that enhance the appearance and environment of our neighbourhood. Please contact us if you have any suggestions. We will also arrange a Spring Clean in April 2019.
